My works in the exhibit Nature Illuminated explored two beautiful gardens: Chantal Toporow's organic garden in Redondo Beach, California, and Ambrosia Gardens on Oregon's central coast. Each garden is by the ocean and has a pond as its focal point, yet the gardens are very different. Chantal's small garden has an amazing composition of fruit trees and a plethora of flowers. It is a symphony of colors in early summer. Ambrosia Garden is a vast garden at the foot of a dark forest. It overlooks the ocean and is classical in its natural flow. I used watercolor and gold pen to illuminate the beauty and mystery of both gardens. I also exhibited several paintings in watercolor and gold pen, depicting the landscape as a musical and textured dreamscape.
